Global Road Safety Week (GRSW)
16^th to 12^th May 2013

GRSW is declared by the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration. Under the project 'Safety through Spiritual Life Skills', the Brahmakumaris will be observing the GRSW 2013 largely by the use of electronic media in addition to the on-field educational and awareness raising activities. The new initiatives include the following:

E-mailers: Short attractive mailers will be designed on specific themes of road safety. These can be forwarded freely across the web by any number of users. Corporate houses will be specially encouraged to forward these mailers to all their personnel in observance of GRSW.

Profile image campaign: This special image has been designed that can be used by web-users as their profile image on social networking sites like Facebook, Google Plus etc especially during GRSW. This profile image given can be saved and used freely as profile image. It would be wonderful if you could drop in an email to ttwoffice@gmail.com mentioning about your participation in this special campaign.

National Conference on the theme "Speed, Safety, Spirituality"
27^th to 30^th September, 2013. Shantivan, Abu Road, Rajasthan, India

This conference invites the participation of personnel associated with the roadways, railways and tourism sectors. It aims at sharing the wisdom and experience of applied spirituality for strengthening the foundations of these service sectors.

The theme for this year is 'Speed, Safety, Spirituality'. In the journey of life, speed is an important measure of power and success today. But in the pursuit of speed, if safety of life, ethics or harmony is compromised, it questions the very purpose of our efforts.

Ancient spiritual wisdom shares the secret keys to success with speed and harmony. For e.g.

When we are relaxed and calm, we work fastest
When we are content and grateful, we attract maximum opportunities
When we are in harmony, a thousand hands of co-operation help us in accomplishing the most challenging tasks in a jiffy

This conference will help participants learn the art of alert relaxation and also discover the powerful resources that lie within our own inner consciousness. The pure and peaceful environment of Shantivan campus fosters a very natural process of learning and progress.

Road Safety programmes at Belgaum
16^th to 19^th Feb 2013

Educational programmes on Road Safety are being organised at various schools, colleges, public transport establishments and companies at Belgaum in Karnataka. A Training of Trainers event will also be held at the Brahma Kumaris centre in Belgaum.

Training Programmes for drivers at HPCL (LPG Gas)

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has collaborated with the Brahma Kumaris to organise training programmes nation-wide for the drivers who operate the LPG tankers and cylinder trucks. A three-hour module is being conducted which include the following topics:

Safety Through Spirituality
Traffic Control of the Mind
Healing Habits

Programmes have been initiated in about seven locations in January 2013 and will be extended to all 55 plants of HPCL across India.
