PLAN OF ACTIVITIES FOR ROAD SAFETY WEEK 2012
- Engaging schools children as ambassadors to promote road safety amongst their schoolmates: The Transport and Travel Wing of Brahmakumaris will train
student volunteers from various schools in delivering a short interesting
talk on Road Safety and provide them with badges and Road safety pledges so
that their school mates can sport the badges during Safety Week and also
remember their pledge.
- One-minute Commentaries with positive affirmations will be promoted through various media.
These commentaries will help drivers and travellers maintain a cool and calm disposition and enjoy their daily travelling/ driving experience.
- Attractive Visual Messages (videos) promoting suitable road behaviour will be displayed in video coach buses, banks and other public places that have such video display
devices in their premises.
- Talks on Road Safety will be held for driving staff of various companies and staff of public transport corporations. These talks include the aspects of Positive Attitude,
Meditation and Emotional Stability for enjoying a safe journey.
- Talks for college students on Road Safety involve motivating them for safe behaviour on roads, awakening the values of responsibility and respect within and
inspiring them to lead the cause of road safety.
- Banners / Hoardings / Stickers will be used at designated public spaces to create safety awareness during this week.
